Queen of the South legend Stephen Dobbie’s testimonial plans are taking shape.
Some well known faces will be returning to Palmerston on Sunday, April 30 with Dobbie’s Queens 11 taking on a squad of Scotland legends.
Things get underway for Dobbie with a question and answer session in the Queen of the South Arena on Saturday April 29 with tickets priced at £5.
The following day Ian McCall will manage the Doonhamers once again with a host of old faces donning the South.
Scottish Cup heroes Jamie MacDonald, Andy Aitken, Paul Burns and Stevie Tosh are among some of the returning legends.
On the Scotland side former Queens boss Gary Naysmith will play alongside James McFadden, Scott Brown and Colin Hendry.
That match is one of a number of events taking place to give the talismanic striker a proper send off after his last match was played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Mascot packages are available with Stephen and his wife Susanne offering two lucky kids the chance to be a mascot on the day.
To be in with a chance of winning, they would like you to draw a picture of Stephen. The couple will then pick two of their favourite entries with the artists being allocated a mascot place free of charge.
All pictures will be displayed at the game.
The mascot ballot and competition will close on February 20. To enter the ballot please go to https://forms.gle/yw4D1Tsrep9M5CR99. To enter the competition please send entries to Dobbie Mascot Competition, QOS FC, Palmerston Park, Dumfries, DG2 9BA.
