Plans for new sushi restaurant to replace city centre shop

A new sushi restaurant could soon replace a shop in Nottingham city centre. The Phone Clinic on Exchange Walk would be replaced by a KOKORO sushi restaurant, if new plans are given the go ahead.

KOKORO is a Korean Japanese restaurant, founded in the UK more than a decade ago. According to its website the franchise now has more than 50 locations across the UK, including Leicester, Leeds and Liverpool.

The Phone Clinic is still open at the moment but workers told Nottinghamshire Live they were aware of the plans for the restaurant. The fresh proposal plans to refit the shop to form a new sushi & bento café takeaway and to create a new high seating area to the front looking out through a redecorated shopfront.
