EventCity and the vacant SoccerDome could be demolished to make way for a £250m water park in Manchester that could create 1,200 jobs, according to newly-submitted proposals.
Peel L&P is seeking permission from Trafford Council for the scheme which would lead to the creation of Therme Manchester.
If backed, the regeneration business would knock down the 28,000 sq m EventCity conference and exhibition space on Barton Dock Road.
