Plans for a two-day London Marathon in 2027 with 100,000 runners revealed

Tens of thousands more runners could take part in the London Marathon next year as organisers are in advanced talks to stage a two-day event.

Plans for a ‘double marathon’ have not yet been approved, but are believed to have the backing of the mayor’s office for Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April next year.
