Plano COVID Testing Clinics Agree to Pay $20 Million Over Allegations Nasal Swabs Were Billed as Office Visits

Two Plano, Texas, medical practices and their physician owner have agreed to pay $20 million to resolve allegations that they billed a federal program for uninsured patients for office visits when patients only received COVID-19 nasal swab tests, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Oct. 7.

Heal 360 Urgent Care PLLC, Heal 360 Primary Care PLLC, and owner Dr. Mohammed Amer Mohiuddin operated dozens of mostly walk-up and drive-through testing sites across Texas. The settlement resolves civil allegations only, and there has been no determination of liability.
