Fans of aviation tracker FlightRadar could see the app come into its own today, Tuesday, September 13, as the Queen's coffin will be flying from Edinburgh towards the Capital. En-route it could well travel over the East Midlands.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in Balmoral on Thursday, September 8, the monarch is now lying in state at St Giles Cathedral, giving the people of Scotland the opportunity to pay their respects. On Tuesday, September 13, the Queen's coffin will make its journey back to the Capital.
There are several routes the plane carrying Her Majesty could take on its way to RAF Northolt. Well-wishers unable to travel to visit the late Queen Elizabeth II Lying in State in the Palace of Westminster, may be able to take a moment to pay their respects as the flight soars overhead on its onward journey.

The plane is expected to leave Edinburgh airport at around 6pm. The flight between Edinburgh and RAF Northolt takes around 55 minutes. possible paths have been highlighted for the journey which fly directly over the region.
One of the routes highlighted by Northants Live would see the plane heading towards the region late afternoon/ early evening. The website noted that King Charles II's first flight down to London from Aberdeen airport on Friday, September 9, flew over West Northamptonshire, near Daventry heading in the direction of Silverstone. It bases its predictions on that flight. This could mean the plane would be soaring above neighbouring Leicestershire and down towards Northampton.
Another report, this time by BirminghamLive, puts the aircraft above Brownhills towards Sutton Coldfield as it makes its way to the capital.
There is a chance Brits could track the progress of the aircraft on the app FlightRadar - although the flight number will be required to trace it. Also take into account that there is no set flightpath between Edinburgh and London, and air traffic or weather may cause the plane to divert.
The flight will be accompanied by the Queen's daughter, Princess Anne.
