A man has been charged with the murder of Elliot Francique in east London, the Met Police have confirmed.
Menelik Campbell, 20, of Dalston is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on April 29.
Mr Francique was found with stab wounds inside his home in Hudson Close, Plaistow on April 19.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene. Previously, detectives said the assailant forced their way into Mr Francique’s home.
He then proceeded to stab the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene towards Park Grove.
Previously, detective chief inspector Kelly Allen said: “The attack was brutal, targeted and has devastated a family.”
Detective chief superintendent Richard Tucker previously added: “I know that this horrific incident will send shockwaves through our communities and I would like to reassure local people that we are doing all we can to support our homicide colleagues as they progress their investigation.
“A young man’s life has been ended in his own home, where he should have been safe. His family is now struggling to come to terms with their loss and my thoughts are with them.”
