Irish presenter PJ Gallagher was shocked to learn that the one pub can charge different prices for the same pint when ordered from its bar or lounge.
The stand-up comedian and actor has questioned whether places have always done this.
He said: "Only learned that a Bar and a Lounge in the same pub, can charge two different prices for the same pint pulled from the same tap."

The 47-year-old asked his followers: "Has the whole World being doing this for long?!"
One follower said it was like that in the Village Inn in Finglas, Dublin when he was 15 years old, adding that he is now 61.
Limerick's Maurice Quinlivan TD said that it was the same in one of his local bars.
"It depended if you stood on the carpet or Lino as to whether you got charged a Bar or Lounge price (it was basically the one room)," he said.
One Limerick resident stressed that it is still the case in that particular pub, and that they believe there is 10 cent in the difference, and that the bar has the cheaper pint.
One reply joked: "And what if you'd one foot on each?"
Weighing in on PJ's post, one person revealed that they worked in a well-known bar in Temple Bar in the 90s, the pints in which fluctuated depending on the customer.
"We had regular’s prices, tourist prices and then after 9pm prices. The tills were bursting every night!!!!" they said.
One final commenter recalled how their father used to drink at a local bar and would always make a point of ordering from the bar.
They said: "My Da would always drink in the bar of his local, but if there was an occasion on requiring us to be in the lounge, he’d walk through to the bar to order the cheaper pint and come back again."
