After a hard week, there is nothing more relaxing than putting aside the cooking for one weekend and picking up a takeaway.
We've all been there and we all have our favourite end of the week go-to, whether it be Chinese, Indian or even a good old fashioned chippie.
However, with the rising cost of living forcing families to stick to tighter budgets, spending money on a takeaway treat may be an expense they can't afford.
Which is where a classic supermarket bought pizza comes in handy, because it offers one of the cheapest and simplest takeaway orders - and you can still take a night of cooking!
But, knowing which supermarket offers the best budget friendly pizza can be a trialling task, especially if you don't have the money to try them all out.
Which is why Emma Gill from The Manchester Evening News tested pizza counters at Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Asda to find which offered families the best value for money - and found one that tasted like a proper takeaway.
The parenting editor kept it fair by picking up a medium (10 inch) and two large (14 inch) pizzas from each retailer and judged them on price and taste.
Emma found the supermarkets offered the same basic variety of pizza bases and sauces, with some offering more options for a bit more pennies.
She said on the offerings: "All three have the option to choose either thin and crispy or deep pan, but there are extra choices at Morrisons, where you can opt for sourdough or gluten free, and Asda, where you can get woodfired, stuffed crust or Detroit - you pay extra for those though.
"Tomato and BBQ sauces were offered from all three supermarkets, with Asda and Morrisons being the only two to offer garlic as a third choice."
All supermarkets were found to be offering a "decent range of toppings", with Asda offering the most at 19, Morrisons 18 and Sainsbury's 12.
Emma did find that only Asda and Morrisons were allowing customers to choose four toppings from a standard price, while Sainsbury's only allowed you to choose three.
However, that was found not to be an issue for the reporter, as they opted for two large pizzas and one medium pizza.
She said: "We went for a large cheese and tomato, a large pepperoni and for the medium, we were actually taking off the cheese (for one fussy eater) - while adding either chicken or meatballs (Asda being the only place to offer these) or chicken and ham."
The option chosen from Sainsbury's was picked up from the pre-made shelf, as the counter was not open until noon and there was no colleague around to help.
As for the all important part - the price - Morrisons came out on top at £10.67, followed by Asda at £11.60 and Sainsbury's at £12.
Morrisons was found to be the clear winner among the whole family as it "cooked perfectly and the sauce, cheese and overall taste made it the closest to a real deal takeaway you'd get delivered to your door."
Even better, both Morrisons and Asda were found to be offering cash-strapped families a few deals so that they could enjoy a takeaway this weekend.
Morrisons is currently offering two 10 inch pizzas and a litre bottle of Diet Coke or Coke Zero for £4.99.
Asda's Bigger Movie Nights Meal Deal offers the same for £6, but you also get either a Vue cinema ticket or a Sky Store movie voucher included.
