A new pizza chain appears set to come to Cardiff's city centre.
Planning permission was granted by Cardiff council last year for pizza chain Franco Manca to put up new signage on Church Street.
The chain, which specialises in sourdough pizza, has locations all across London as well as in Bath and Bristol, and is set to take over the former site of the Cornish Bakehouse.

The latest application is for 11 Church Street proposed fascia signage emblazoned with the restaurant's name, and was approved by the council in November. Planning permission was also granted for alterations to the facade and roof of the building and change of use of the building to a restaurant.
The restaurant's website says it has seasonally changing menus and daily specials, with pizzas being made fresh to order. Pizzas range from a classic mozzarella and tomato to Genovese Neapolitan ragú. The menu also includes vegan and gluten free options, as well as salads, desserts, and cocktails.
Franco Manca expressed interest in a Cardiff location back in 2019, and submitted an application to Cardiff council, requesting permission for Franco Manca to be allowed to play music and serve alcohol from 10am to midnight every day in a unit at 5-10 Church Street.
In August last year, Fulham Shore, which owns Franco Manca as well as the Real Greek restaurants, said it has identified 150 locations for potential new restaurants.
David Page, executive chairman of Fulham Shore, said: “We plan to open 10 locations during the current financial year and have identified more than 150 additional sites in line with our medium-term plans.”
The restaurant will be among a few new businesses coming to Church Street, including Rosa's Thai Cafe, which will take over the final unit in the Church Street development, and burger joint Fat Hippo, which will take over the former Bub's Bar and Kitchen.
Pho, The Botanist, Mowgli Street Food, and, most recently, Bacareto have all opened on Church Street.
