One of the highlights of the USFL season came off the foot of Pittsburgh Maulers’ punter Matt Mengel on Saturday.
Mengel flipped the field against the Michigan Panthers as he walloped this punt 83 yards.
If this is an audition for the NFL, Mengel made a striking impression.
Special Teams for @USFLMaulers continues to be special. This 83-yard bomb by Matt Mengel is the second longest punt in modern USFL history.
New Jersey Generals punter Brock Miller had an 85-yarder last season on June 18 against the Philadelphia Stars. @Mengel46 @Br0ckMiller https://t.co/sD6c1oE1be
