Piped water supply in 18 slum clusters by next yr: NDMC

NDMC Kuljeet Singh Chahal New Delhi New Delhi Municipal Council

NEW DELHI: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has chalked out a plan to supply water to 18 jhuggi clusters through pipelines by March next year. NDMC will be the first civic body in Delhi to provide piped connection to all JJ cluster areas, said NDMC member Kuljeet Singh Chahal.

On pilot basis, the project will be implemented in 400 jhuggis of Vivekanand Camp (near Singapore Embassy) by June 30.
