Ian Wright has described talk of Liverpool winning the quadruple as a "pipe dream", after the Reds reached the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side marched to a 3-2 win over Manchester City to book their place in the final, where they will face either Chelsea or Crystal Palace. Having already won the Carabao Cup this season, Liverpool reached the last four of the Champions League earlier this week and remain just a point behind Man City in the league table.
Ian Wright was keen to praise the “amazing football team” that Liverpool have assembled after their latest achievement. However, the Arsenal legend insisted that the squad will not be focussed on achieving what would be unprecedented success.

“The quadruple is a pipe dream,” Wright told Premier League Productions . “Until you get to the next stage of what you might be able to do to knock another trophy off.
“It’s the last thing Liverpool will be thinking of because it’s too much pressure. You need so many things to go for you to win the treble, let alone the quadruple. I just think they will be looking to the next game. They will just knock it off.
“We can talk about it, but Liverpool are just going about their business. They are an amazing football team.”
That was certainly the message from Jurgen Klopp after the final whistle at Wembley. The German coach had seen his side race into a 3-0 lead at half-time but used City’s attempt at a late comeback as an example of the challenges that lie ahead for his side.
When asked about the possibility of winning a quadruple , Klopp said, “You can mention whatever you want, it doesn’t make it more likely. A game like today shows it even more, how unlikely it is to do something like that. To get through now against City, which is incredibly difficult and intense.”
After outlining the difficulty of the fixtures that the Reds have to come, the Liverpool boss added: “Let’s go for it, let’s try to win the next game and see how we recover between now and then. We will see.”
