Global pop sensation Pink kicks off the European leg of her Summer Carnival 2023 tour this week with two huge gigs at the University of Bolton Stadium. The Grammy-Award winning singer, who is known for her powerful voice and energetic shows is expected to perform an array of smash hits from her incredible three-decade career, alongside tracks from her new album, Trustfall.
Due to the size of the event, which will see 70,000 head to the stadium over two nights, there will be tight security and a number of guidelines for gig-goers to keep in mind when heading to the University of Bolton Stadium. In particular, there are a number of prohibited items that you are not allowed to take inside the ground. All ticketholders will be checked by security officials on the way in.
Below, you'll find more information of what you can and can't take in to the two gigs, and a break down of what you can and can't do at the shows too. Taking your own food and drink into the ground is not allowed - but there are food and drink options available to purchase.

Doors open at 4.30pm, and the first act, DJ and producer KidCutUp will be on stage at 5.30pm, before Gayle at 6.45pm and The Script at 7.30pm. Can I take a bag in?
All ticket holders are now prohibited from bringing any bag into the stadium unless it is smaller than an A4 piece of paper (height: 297mm width: 210mm depth: 210mm). Bags will be checked at an outer cordon before entering the stadium.
Can you take your own food and drink?
Sealed water bottles up to 250ml will be allowed entry. Any water bottles with a broken seal or over 250ml will not be allowed in due to security. Searches will be applied at point of entry and guests will be asked to discard any food or drinks before entering.
If any customers suffer from a condition that requires specific dietary requirements, they are advised to contact the stadium directly at reception@bwfc.co.uk prior to arrival to obtain permission to bring those items in, otherwise they will be confiscated on entry.
For those looking to grab some food and drink once at the stadium, there will be a wide range of food and beverage available to buy. Bolton Wanderers’ pre-show festival Burnden Parklife - located across the BWFC Fan Zone and Catering Village - will open its doors from 12-4pm.
Located in the East Concourse, the Premier Suite will provide food and drink for the pitch and East Lower stand ticket holders. Concert-goers can expect vendors including The Striped Pig, Cubanitos, Grandpa Greene’s Luxury Ice Cream and Slattery’s confectionary.
What can you take into the University of Bolton Stadium?
Ticketholders are advised not to bring any of the following as you will not be allowed to enter the site if any of these items are found in your possession:
- Professional cameras with large telephoto or detachable lenses
- Video and audio recording equipment
- knives
- illegal substances
- fireworks
- smoke canisters
- air-horns
- flares
- weapons
- dangerous or hazardous items
- laser devices
- bottles
- glass vessels
- cans
- poles
- political banners
- folding chairs and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety
- umbrellas
Weather
Gig-goers are advised to check the weather forecast before making their way to the gig and bring appropriate clothing for all weather conditions. Those attending are also advised to apply sunscreen regularly even when not in direct sunlight.
No umbrellas will be permitted in to the stadium, and in the event of adverse weather conditions, organisers advise bringing a rain mac or disposable rain coat. The show will not be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
