The retro Piña Colada has been named the UK’s favourite cocktail, beating the trendy Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martini, according to a recent survey commissioned by cocktail bar and restaurant chain, Fridays. Other cocktails beloved by the nation and voted as favourites include a Sex on the Beach, a Pornstar Martini and a Mexican Margarita.
Cocktail-loving Brits also can’t get enough of a gin fizz, a Long Island Iced Tea, an Espresso Martini and the Aperol Spritz. Other popular cocktails in favour with the nation include Purple Rain, a Bloody Mary, a White Russian and a classic Manhattan.
There are also drinks too naughty for Brits to order - as they’re too embarrassed to say them - with up to a fifth admitting that tipples with names like Slippery Nipple leave them feeling red-faced.
