The off-duty pilot who attempted to shut down a plane’s engines mid-flight after taking psychedelic mushrooms has spoken out for the first time since being charged with 83 counts of attempted murder.
Joseph Emerson, 44, was riding in the cockpit jumpseat on an Alaska Airlines flight on 22 October from Everett, Washington, to San Francisco, California.
