Pilot's body found after fatal helicopter crash

A pilot has been found dead in the wreckage of his Robinson R22 helicopter which crashed in the NT. (HANDOUT/PR)

The body of a helicopter pilot has been found two days after he lost contact with air traffic control in the Northern Territory.

NT Police are investigating the crash that occurred in the Sturt Plateau, about 80km south of Mataranka, late on Thursday.
