Piers Morgan Uncensored: Viewers have same opinion and ‘switch off’ in droves

Piers Morgan launched his new TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored with an explosive interview with Donald Trump on Monday evening.

The former President of the United States sat down with the 57-year-old presenter in a pre-recorded chat, which saw him take aim at Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle among others.

Boasting he predicts “almost everything”, Trump told Piers he reckons Meghan will ditch Prince Harry for “some other guy she likes better”.

Ex-Good Morning Britain presenter Piers set up the topic with his own opinion – as is his usual interview style.

Piers is heading up the flagship show on the brand new TV channel TalkTV as part of a rumoured £50 million three-year deal.

TalkTV viewers took to Twitter to react to the new channel and its flagship show, with many comparing the launch of the new channel to GB News and Fox News across the pond.

One wrote: “I’m out, even morbid curiosity couldn’t keep me tuned in. Not interested in free speech just outrage grift for views.”

Another chimed: “Watched about 10 minutes of the Trump TalkTV thing and I think I've done it; I've reached the point where I genuinely have no interest in what narcissists have to say. Beautiful. Goodbye.”

A third posted: “Trump spewing out the same old bulls*** and sound bites. The interview is so manipulated to make it look controversial when in reality it is a sycophantic chat!”

Another tweeted: “Have a feeling this isn't "going to make global headlines for days"”

Another posted: “This interview is so cringeworthy, Piers Morgan will be the UK's Tucker Carlson,” as a fellow viewer wrote: “I've watched Morgan and Trump pretending to be annoyed with each other and I'm done.”

A fellow fan weighed in saying: "Oh my days, TalkTV is bloody awful! Not 100% sure if it’s a massive spoof or not."

Another wrote: "Watched Talk TV its everything as bad as you'd expect and it's up there with GB News."

"Piers claiming his Trump interview is explosive is nothing more than Trump spewing the same old s***," another wrote.

Another wrote: "Bloody hell - Piers sounds angry and no one has said anything to him yet."

However, a number of fans celebrated the return of Piers to television screens, with one writing: “Can see this new Piers Morgan show, becoming one of the best places for honest, fiery debate.”

Another posted: “I’d stopped watching television news but made an exception tonight to watch the launch of Uncensored on TalkTV. Gotta say, based on the first 30 minutes and that opening monologue, I know what I’ll be tuning into at 8pm.”

The launch of Piers Morgan Uncensored comes just over a year after the TV presenter shocked the nation by storming off a live broadcast of ITV ’s Good Morning Britain.

The Marmite presenter marched out of the studio after a heated clash with weather presenter Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Ofcom received more than 41,000 complaints after Piers claimed he “didn't believe” Meghan was telling the truth while discussing her “suicidal” thoughts.

When Alex slammed Piers for his "absolutely diabolical" behaviour, his rival dramatically walked out saying he was "done with this", although he did later return to the live show.

This led to a series of events which ended with Piers leaving his role on GMB.
