Piers Morgan has taken another swipe at rival TV presenter Dan Walker after telling him to f*** off at an awards do.
Channel 5 presenter Dan, 46, and outspoken Piers, 58, haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye over the years.
And when Dan had a near-death bike accident recently, Piers claimed Dan was “milking” it on social media.
Their latest spat came last night when Dan was picked to present Piers with a gong at the TRIC Awards for his interview with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
When Dan attempted to mock Piers infamous Good Morning Britain walkout, Piers – who now works for TalkTV – left audience members shocked after yelling “f*** you".
Taking to Twitter, relentless Piers just couldn’t resist having another pop at Dan this morning.
Sharing a snap with Dan as he clutched his award, Piers told his 8.4 million followers: “Congrats @mrdanwalker on the huge honour of presenting me with my big @TRICawards ‘Interview of the Year’ trophy yesterday.”
He then followed up with: “Biggest moment of his career.”
Dan took it on the chin and cheekily responded to Piers’ Twitter digs with: “Congratulations @piersmorgan It was a great scoop.
“Nice to catch up and well done for accepting the award with all the grace, humility and self-awareness we have come to expect.”
Fans were quick to comment underneath the post – with many defending Dan.
One wrote: “And Dan did it with good grace and a smile, lesson to be learnt. Congratulations though Piers, it was a great interview.”
Heaping more praise on Dan and noting how much taller his is than Piers, another said: “Well done @mrdanwalker. A great lesson on us all on how to be the bigger man in two ways” followed by a laughing face emoji.
“To be fair, Piers, they were handing out those awards like sweets,” a third chimed in.
“Forever humble”, a fourth mused, while a fifth fumed: “Change the T to a P. That’s the award you should get.”
The Mirror exclusively broke the story of Piers foul-mouthed rant at Dan at last night’s TRIC Awards in London, which honour stars of TV and radio.
Accepting his award, Piers said on stage: "Thank you, I can almost feel the warmth in the room.
"I know what you are all thinking, long overdue, but obviously, my initial pain at realising that this was going to be presented to me by Dan Walker was soon overtaken by the reality of the enormous pain that he would be suffering in having to present it to me, so thank you, Dan.
"Although what you know about interviewing is beyond me - it was a joke, it was a joke."
In an attempt to interrupt Piers, former BBC Breakfast star Dan walked over to the microphone and said: "Hang on, I think this is what I have to do now," before he jokingly punched Piers.
Piers then responded: "He laughs but the day that I did that walkout was the day that Good Morning Britain finally beat the BBC in the ratings in the morning.
"And because I then got invited to leave that evening they never overtook me again so f**k you, Walker."
