Piers Morgan says new show Uncensored is 'annoying all the right people'

The former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan said he is 'making history' with his new TalkTV show Uncensored.

On Monday night (April 25), the 57-year-old launched the first episode of his new show which saw an explosive interview between him and the 45th president of the United States Donald Trump.

The Guardian reports that the viewing ratings peaked at 397,000. However, according to The Sun, the show managed to get 588,000 in total tuning in on linear TV platforms, including a repeat.

Speaking about the incredibly high ratings, Piers told his 7.9 million Twitter followers that he 'hammered' all of his rival broadcasters.

Living up to his promise to 'annoy all the right people' the host celebrated his triumphant return to our TV screens on the next episode.

In the opening monologue of the next episode, Piers said: "Last night's show made TV history. Today I have been showered with equal dollops of praise and criticism.

"I promised to annoy all the right people and we are off to a flying start."

In tonight's episode, viewers can expect to see world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury interviewed by Piers at 8pm.

It seems as though Piers has even impressed Prime Minister Boris Johnson who had nothing but praise for the host.

Speaking to Tom Newton-Dunn, who opened TalkTV's second night, Tom asked if there was anything he'd briefly like to say about Piers.

Responding, Boris said: "We love Piers but I'm sure you'll do an outstanding job too"

After seeing the Prime Minister kind words, the Uncensored host invited Boris to come onto the show and be interviewed by him.

Piers tweeted: "BREAKING: Boris Johnson tells ⁦ @tnewtondunn @TheNewsDesk that he ‘loves’ me and thinks I’ll do an ‘outstanding’ job on my new show. Thank you, Prime Minister - but if you love me that much, stop hiding in fridges and give me an interview too"

Watch TalkTV on Tuesday 26th April on Sky 526, Virgin Media 627, Freeview 237, Freesat 217 or on Fox Nation in the US.
