Piers Morgan's son, Spencer, brutally mocks Brooklyn Beckham wedding fanfare

With the marriage between Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz just hours away it feels like everyone in the world is looking forward to the lavish wedding day.

Everyone except Spencer Morgan, that is.

The 28-year-old offspring of ex-Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, 57, has bitterly hit out at the excitement and fanfare surrounding 23-year-old Brooklyn and 27-year-old Nicola’s big day.

And it sounds like Spencer is suggesting many people should find themselves a life instead of getting hyped up over what is set to be one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the decade.

With a reported budget of £3 million for the big day – which is small change considering the Beckham family is said to be worth £360 million and the Peltz family are believed to be worth £1.3 billion – expectations are high for a lavish celebration.

For weeks, details have been leaked over the wedding venue, the wedding dress, and that very exclusive and incredibly A-List wedding guest list.

But while the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Snoop Dogg are said to be set to watch Brooklyn and Nicola swap vows on Saturday, it seems the Morgans didn’t get an invite to the lavish ceremony that is taking place at one of the Peltz’ palatial homes in Florida.

So perhaps this is why Spencer has taken to social media to lash out at the fanfare surrounding the big day.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, the mop-haired child of a celebrity grumbled: “If you’re interested in brooklyn beckham’s wedding there’s no helping you.”

The tweet provoked a mixed response from Spencer’s followers – with some mocking him in response.

One follower replied: “But you needed to tweet about it, so obviously no helping you!!”

Another took aim at Spencer’s famous father, tweeting back: “Agree. The type of person who is interested in this is the type of person who would pen endless articles on Meghan Markle like ………. Checks notes ………. Hmm.”

And even Channel 5 host Matthew Stadlen hit out, tweeting back: “Why would anyone be interested in anything you tweet, Spencer? You’re literally the son of a famous person.”

However others were of Spencer’s opinion and opined about their disinterest in the imminent celeb-packed wedding.

Brooklyn and Nicola will swap vows in front of family, friends and famous faces on Saturday after something of a whirlwind romance.

The duo first met at Coachella music festival in California back in 2017 – but didn’t begin dating until October 2019 when they reconnected at a party in LA.

The duo have since been virtually inseparable – going Instagram official in January 2020 and hunkering down together in New York in March that year as the world went into lockdown in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Brooklyn then popped the question at the end of June – just six months after going ‘Insta official’ with Transformers star Nicola – and awarded her a giant engagement ring said to be worth £350k.
