Piers Morgan took to Twitter with a jab towards the rich and famous who could’ve very well have been “sweating” during Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial – in fear that a few notable names could crop up during her guilty verdict.
He quizzed: “Will vile sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell now sing like a canary to avoid spending the rest of her life in prison?
“If she does, there could be a lot of rich, powerful & famous people sweating tonight...” Morgan added, before making a not-so-subtle dig towards Prince Andrew and his so-called sweating condition: “and not sweating.”
The 56-year-old journalist’s reference comes after Prince Andrew’s infamous 2019 interview with BBC’s Newsnight, where he categorically denied the accusations aimed at him because he was “unable to sweat.”
“I didn’t sweat at the time because I had suffered what I would describe as an overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands War, when I was shot at,” he said. “It was almost impossible for me to sweat.”

Despite pleading not guilty to all charges – claiming she was being made a scapegoat for Epstein’s acts after he died while awaiting his own trial in 2019 – Maxwell was found guilty of five federal sex trafficking charges after six days of deliberation.
If ordered to serve all five sentences consecutively, the 60-year-old socialite, labelled “dangerous” by the prosecution, could spend the next 65 years behind bars.
- Count 1: Conspiracy to entice a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts - maximum sentence of five years
- Count 3: Conspiracy to transport a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity - maximum sentence of five years
- Count 4: Transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity - maximum sentence of 10 years
- Count 5: Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors - maximum sentence of five years
She was found not guilty of the sixth, for enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.
