Piers Morgan has been labelled "awesome" by some viewers of Fox News talk show The Five, after he posed a question about Vladimir Putin. He said "at some point, we're going to have to stand up to" the Russian President, adding "otherwise, where does it stop?".
In a clip that has been shared on social media, Piers said: "Can I ask one difficult question - because I know this flies against the general narrative. At what point is the red line for our morality in the west?
"At what point... do we watch maternity hospitals being bombed, refugees being targeted and murdered on the way out trying to escape... Holocaust survivors being incinerated in their homes, as happened last week. What is our red line?
"I keep reading that Putin is losing. That this is all going badly, that Ukraine are winning. I don't believe any of that. Putin is doing exactly what he set out to do.
"He's ruthless, barbaric. He's getting more ruthless and more barbaric - and we're all sitting back, hiding behind 'well, he hasn't attacked a Nato country'.
"If he prevails in Ukraine and attacks a Nato country, what's he going to say? He's going to say 'if you come after me, I'll use my nukes'. And we're going to face the same moral quandary, of a guy taking nuclear armaments as a protective shield to genocide.
"I just ask the question, because at some point we're going to have to stand up to him - otherwise, where does it stop? I'm just throwing that out there."
Piers' appearance on the Fox show appears to have gone down a storm with some viewers, with Twitter user @bon52 calling him "witty, awesome, and genuine". Clayton Coffey agreed, tweeting: "Is Piers Morgan a new host on Fox . I hope so, I saw him on The Five, at least a special consultant, he is awesome."
Norman Gross said: "In my humble opinion Piers Morgan could be a regular on The Five anytime. Interesting and entertaining guy."
@EleanorRoth8 agreed, tweeting: "I wish Piers Morgan was on The Five all the time. Hugely entertaining man. I’ve resisted subscribing to Fox Nation, but I guess I’ll have to, now that Mr Morgan will be having his own show!"
However, not all Fox viewers were quite so enamoured with Piers. Paul Murphy fumed: "Why on God's green earth is Piers Morgan on the Five? This idiot and moron does not believe in American values. Does not believe in our 2nd amendment. I will tune out."
And @chichigozaimos said: "When Piers Morgan joins Fox and The Five you know for sure Fox is Enemy of the People."
A new Piers Morgan show will go live on Monday April 25, it has been announced. Piers Morgan Uncensored will go live with the UK launch of TalkTV on Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview and Freesat.
