Piers Morgan has claimed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's reunion with the royal family was "frosty" and featured "lots of tension".
The broadcaster, 57, has said insiders told him the couple - who resigned as working royals and relocated to America in 2020 - "disappeared" behind the scenes of Thursday's Trooping the Colour.
Piers claims that while several senior figures in the Royal Family mingled around the grounds of Buckingham Palace, Meghan and Harry were apparently nowhere to be seen as celebrations continued on the first day of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The presenter has a long history with the former Suits actress and her husband Harry, famously walking off the set of Good Morning Britain in 2021 after he was questioned regarding his controversial comments surround the Duchess of Sussex's experience with poor mental health.
Piers made the claims regarding Meghan and Harry on his newly launched TalkTV programme, Piers Morgan Uncensored, which attracted an average of 61,700 viewers at the start of May.
"The rest of the family went into the garden and were milling around and they just disappeared," the broadcaster alleged regarding Prince Harry and Meghan on Thursday.
"So there is already a lot of tension there and the only glue it seems in this whole tension is The Queen and she’s not going to be there."
The Mirror has approached representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
Dad-of-four Piers added that he believes the pulling out of the Service of Thanksgiving on Friday is "not good news" for the monarchy.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter added: "Whichever way we try to dress this up, for the queen to miss the big thanksgiving service, she's a big churchgoer, big believer, and for her not to be there is a big deal."
Piers managed to get a couple of jabs in at Meghan on Thursday, as many across the country began the first day of celebrations to mark the Queen's 70 years on the throne.
The journalist has a seemingly one-side feud with the mum-of-two, frequently discussing her on Twitter and TV while she is yet to publicly mention his name.
Sharing a collage of a crying Prince Louis taken as he stood on the balcony at Thursday's Trooping the Colour, Piers cheekily suggested the young royal's reaction could have been due to the presence of Meghan.
"Is this when Aunty Meghan arrived?" Piers jokingly captioned the snap to his Twitter followers.
The TV presenter's joke received a mixed reaction from Twitter users, with the tweet racking up 16,600 'likes' but most of the replies being negative.
"Meghan is nice, why do you hate her?" Piers was asked by one internet user, with another adding: "You’ve been saying all week about this being the Queens weekend and to not make it all about Meghan which you were correct to say and I know this is meant in a humorous manner but you aren’t helping the cause here."
A third argued that Piers was perhaps deliberately provoking his followers, suggesting: "I think hes [sic] only doing it to wind ppl [sic] up mateeeeeeee."
