Piers Morgan brands Nigel Farage a 'treacherous little weasel' for attempting to 'sabotage' his Trump interview

Piers Morgan has branded Nigel Farage a "treacherous little weasel" after the former MEP attempted to "sabotage" his interview with Donald Trump.

The former Good Morning Britain host took aim at the ex-UKIP leader on his new show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

In a speech ahead of his interview with the former Republican president, Morgan said he was taken into a room and told about all the times he criticised Trump since he lost the election.

According to Morgan a "dossier" was sent to Trump by Farage revealing every time he has hit out at the former president.

Morgan said ahead of the interview: "A dossier was sent to Trump by a treacherous little weasel called Nigel working for a little watched TV network somewhere in the UK in an attempt to sabotage this interview.

"A sneaky plot that was to spectacularly backfire."

The TV presenter, 57, made his return on news channel TalkTV on Monday night with his show Piers Morgan Uncensored.

TalkTV, the new venture from News UK, the publisher of the The Times and The Sun, aired on linear TV platforms as well as online services such as Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and YouTube.

Morgan's new global show launched via TalkTV in the UK, Fox Nation in the US and Sky News in Australia.

In the opening monologue for the launch of his show, Morgan said: "My mission statement for this show is very simple - I'm going to cancel cancel culture.

"I'll defeat this insidious, joyless societal scourge with those most effective of democracy-preserving weapons - common sense and truth."
