Piers Morgan has hit out at three Just Stop Oil protestors who have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage at the RHS Chelsea Flower show.
The TalkTV presenter responded to a post by Just Stop Oil's official Twitter account declaring their latest stunt.
The environmental activist group tweeted: "Breaking: Just Stop Oil supporters throw paint over Chelsea Flower Show garden. What good is a garden if you can’t grow food? Millions are starving in the Global South whilst our government ignores the climate crisis, choosing to licence 100 new oil and gas projects."
Piers replied: "That garden took many people months of hard work and loving care to prepare... and you shameful thugs just destroyed it. You're not eco-warriors, you're loathsome imbeciles."
The protestors threw orange paint in the show gardens at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on Thursday morning.
A Royal Horticultural Society spokesperson said: "The three protesters are all off site now."
Met Police's major operations team commander Karen Findlay said the gardens had been "criminally damaged".
The three protestors had targeted a garden designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes for wealth manager RBC Brewin Dolphin.
Writing on Twitter, the designer confirmed the garden had been "permanently damaged".
This isn't the first time Piers has clashed with Just Stop Oil and its supporters.
In April, he invited Just Stop Oil activists James Skeet and Donnachadh McCarthy onto his TalkTV programme to discuss the recent protests, which included throwing orange power on a snooker table during the World Championship in Sheffield.
Piers told the activists: “You’ve been brought on [the show] because your idiot friends have been once again wrecking things for people.”
James replied: “The fact of the matter is, the only real leverage that normal people have is disruptive tactics, right? The nurses know it, the train drivers know it, the junior doctors know it.”
Piers asked the campaigner: "Why don’t you go where the real polluters are? Why don’t you go to Beijing? Why don’t you go to Russia?”
Piers blasted the activists as "moral cowards" before James hit back that the UK needed to "get our own house in order" before turning its attention elsewhere.
