Chelsea summer signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has issued a response on social media to club legend Didier Drogba and Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez.
Aubameyang completed a Deadline Day transfer to Stamford Bridge along with Denis Zakaria as Todd Boehly wrapped up a few last minute deals. The 33-year-old is just one of the eight first team players signed by Chelsea in the summer transfer window as Thomas Tuchel looked to reinforce his squad ahead of a busy 2022/23 season.
Drogba was clearly happy to see Aubameyang sign for the Blues judging by his response to the news of the 33-year-old's signing on Twitter. The new Chelsea striker has now issued a response to Drogba along with responding to Xavi's comments on the Gabonese forward's exit from Camp Nou.

Speaking to the press after deadline day, Xavi commented on Aubameyang's departure from Barcelona after just eight months with the Catalan giants. The Spanish boss said: Xavi: "Aubameyang was an example on and off the pitch, he made a big difference. If you look at his numbers, and as a person he's a jewel. He was an example for the entire club and all the players."
The 33-year-old responded to the comments praising his performances and attitude with a 'praying' emoji, suggesting he felt grateful for the kind words from his former manager. Barca were open to selling the Gabon international due to their financial struggles and transfer business seeing Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha arrive at Camp Nou.
Aubameyang also responded to Drogba's comments following the announcement of his transfer to Chelsea. In a post on Twitter, Drogba wrote: "Finally !!!!! Remember the time we spoke about it years ago Happy for you brother @Auba."
The 33-year-old responded: "Finally! Just saw that tweet and I can’t feel more blessed than that."
Aubameyang will be hoping to recover from a broken jaw quickly so he can make his Chelsea debut, despite being able to train with his new teammates at Cobham. The Blues will be hoping the 33-year-old can have a similar impact at Stamford Bridge as Drogba once he makes his Premier League return.
