A block of flats have been left damaged after a fire tore through the building. Pictures from the scene in Barton Hill show parts of Eccleston House, which has been wrapped up in scaffolding, have been left badly burnt.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service crews managed to successfully put out the blaze this morning (October 20) after receiving a large number of calls at 6.08am. The incident on Avondale Road led to a large emergency service response, with paramedics and police also called out.
A road closure was set up along Avondale Road while the incident was dealt with. Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports that the closure remains in place as of 1pm today.

Pictures taken by our photographer at the scene demonstrate the damage that the fire has left at Eccleston House, with a cordon having been in place along Avonvale Road with exception to emergency services as they deal with the fallout of the event.
On their Twitter account, Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that "all people had been accounted for", stating crews would remain on site to make it safe.
The Barton Hill fire happened just days after fire crews were called to a blaze at the site of the derelict Grosvenor Hotel in Bristol.
