Over 10,000 students turned up to Leopardstown today for the student race day as officials are hopeful some will turn into regular racegoers going forward.
Traditionally, students arrive in Leopardstown in their droves as they kickstart their Easter break at the horse racing.
The high volume of students at the race days was underlined last week in Limerick as a significant crowd attended.
The main race of the day was the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Heritage Stakes at 3.40pm.
Buckaroo was the winner of that race with JP O'Brien as it's trainer and Oisin Murphy as jockey.
Homeless Songs finished runner up with Mea Domina coming in at third.
