A man has been charged with murder after a 25-year-old “loved by everyone around him” died in hospital more than a week after being stabbed in north London.

Suleyman Nuh was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after the stabbing in Alvanley Gardens, Camden, on Thursday, 29 January.

The Metropolitan Police said doctor’s sadly pronounced Suleyman’s life extinct on Friday, February 6.

His life support machines were switched off on Monday, February 9.

Dylan Gan, 21, of Lithos Road, Camden, has been charged with murder and was due to appear in court on Monday.

He was previously charged with attempted murder but the charge has been updated following Suleyman’s death.

In a tribute, Suleyman’s family said:“Suleyman was loved by everyone around him, he was incredibly social and eager to lend a helping hand.

“He will forever be remembered.”

Gan was also previously charged with possession of a knife in a public place, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession of a Class B drug.

In relation to these charges, he appeared at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Monday, 2 February when he was remanded into custody.
