The cyclist who died in a suspected hit and run incident in North Kensington has been pictured for the first time.
Kariem Abdelhalim died in the early hours of Friday morning on North Pole Road after a fatal collision.
Detectives believe the 24-year-old was being pursued by a moped before the crash.
The Met Police was called to reports of a seriously injured man at around 1:20am, but despite best efforts from emergency services, Mr Abdelhalim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations have been underway to establish the circumstances leading up to the incident.
Police have arrested a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation.
Both remain in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who is leading the investigation, said: “Since Kariem’s death, detectives have been working at pace to build a picture of the events that night.
“I encourage anyone who has information in relation to Kariem’s death to contact us. Any information could be vital in our investigation and help provide much-needed answers for Kariem’s family.”
