Molly Picklum was minutes away from winning her first World Surf League title when her mind went somewhere far from the waves in Fiji.
In her final heat against Caroline Marks at Cloudbreak, Picklum started thinking of how she used to skip the school bus just to catch two more waves at Shelly Beach on the NSW Central Coast.
