A pickle eating contest will be taking place later this month as part of the Stoneybatter Festival.
The Festival takes place over three days from June 16-18. The competition will only have ten contestants, and organisers are currently taking applications for those who are interested in taking part.
The Picklepalooza will not test the contestants on how much they can eat at once, but rather if they can handle the increasing sourness of each round.
Organisers said: "For this contest, you won’t be expected to gorge yourself on mountains of pickles, instead each round increases the intensity of brine and sourness culminating in a timed final round to determine who will be awarded the golden pickle, and declared the Stoneybatter Festival Picklepalooza champion!"

The competition will take place on Sunday June 18 from 2:30pm to 3:15pm and contestants are urged to arrive 15 minutes before the competition begins or their spot could be given to a fellow pickle enthusiast.
The winner will be determined by the person who: "has eaten all their pickles in each round, and has the fastest time in the final round."
For more of the terms and conditions of the contest and to apply for it you can check out the entry form, and for more information about the upcoming Stoneybatter Festival you can visit their website.
