Pick your Newcastle United starting XI to face Chelsea as Howe confirms fresh injury setbacks

Newcastle United have already sealed a Champions League spot but will look to reclaim third spot on the final day of the season. The Magpies travel to face struggling Chelsea on Sunday, knowing a victory would see them overtake Manchester United once again if the Red Devils fail to beat Fulham at Old Trafford.

Eddie Howe made just one change for Monday night's draw with Leicester City which confirmed a top-four finish, with Sean Longstaff returning in place of Joe Willock. However, the Newcastle head coach has confirmed further changes will be made at Stamford Bridge with a host of players out of action.

Joelinton and Javier Manquillo have been ruled out of action, joining Jamaal Lascelles, Nick Pope, Matt Ritchie and Willock on the sidelines. With Champions League football already being secured, Howe could be tempted to rotate even further and give a number of fringe stars a rare start.
