Pick your Newcastle United starting XI for Magpies' home clash with Aston Villa

Newcastle United will be hoping to register a fifth Premier League win in six matches when they host Aston Villa. The Magpies currently occupy a top-four spot after recording an impressive win at Tottenham in their last outing.

Eddie Howe's side have still lost just once all season, and will be confident of continuing their fine form at St James' Park. However, Villa will arrive on the back of a four-goal thrashing of Brentford following the sacking of Steven Gerrard.

Unai Emery has been appointed as the Liverpool legend's successor, and the former Newcastle target will not be in charge for Saturday's encounter. The departing Villarreal boss will assume control from November 1 following completion of work-permit formalities.
