The Washington Commanders got off to another slow start in Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Unlike in their previous slow starts, the Commanders bounced back strong in the second half, defeating the Packers, 23-21, to improve to 3-4 on the season.
Quarterback Taylor Heinicke made his first start of the season, completing 20 of 33 passes for 201 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. Heinicke struggled early but finished strong and as he improved, so did Washington’s entire offense.
The Commanders had another stellar defensive effort, as Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn’t convert a single third down for the first time in his legendary career.
