The Memorial Tournament, the latest signature event on the PGA Tour’s 2024 schedule, is once again taking place this week at Muirfield Village Golf Club — affectionately known as Jack’s Place — in Dublin, Ohio. The best players on Tour will use this event not only as a chance to claim one of the most desired trophies in the sport but as a final tune-up for next week’s U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, the year’s third men’s major championship.
Viktor Hovland is the defending champion and is joined in the field by two-time winner Patrick Cantlay, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg and Justin Thomas, among others.
This week’s winner will go home with $4 million of the $20 million purse and 700 FedEx Cup points. Muirfield Village is a par-72 track measuring 7,571 yards.
