LIV Golf is in Spain.
In its first event since the U.S. Open, LIV Golf is at Valderrama Golf Club for LIV Golf Andalucia. Valderrama is a par-71 layout measuring 7,028 yards. The club hosted the Ryder Cup in 1997.
Meanwhile, it’s also the first LIV event since the agreement between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which is the main backer for LIV Golf.
This is the first of two events in Europe ahead of the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, with LIV Golf London set to take place next week.
After the first round, Dustin Johnson and Jason Kokrak are tied for the lead at 4 under after matching 67s. Anirban Lahiri bogeyed his last hole and is a shot behind.
In the team competition, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers are leading at 4 under with Cameron Smith’s Ripper at 3 under.
Here’s a look at some of the best photos from LIV Golf Andalucia at Valderrama.
