The Boston Celtics followed up their historic win over the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden on Thursday with another home tilt, this time against the Toronto Raptors on the second half of a back-to-back.
Despite a solid first three quarters from the Celtics that saw Boston up by as much as 20 points, the Raptors turned up the intensity in the game’s final frame to take the lead and nearly steal the game. The Celtics turned the ball over 11 more times than Toronto, and lost the pickpocket contest 10-3. But winning the rebounding battle 52-38 and poise under pressure late kept Boston undefeated at home.
