The Boston Celtics came into their rematch with the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on the back end of their away-and-away series with the Pacers down a star and a rotation player, but ended the game facing a team down their star player as well. With no Jayson Tatum or Sam Hauser and an early exit for Tyrese Halliburton, the game still sizzled with electricity.
The game was something of a track meet, and went down to the final buzzer, with a questionable call against Jaylen Brown late likely getting the ire of Celtics fans up in a major way as Boston fell 133-131. It was a game that was close from tipoff onward, and perhaps decided by questionable officiating as much as defensive lapses on the Celtics’ end.
