Phillip Schofield 's next job in TV has been 'revealed' by an expert - causing the off-air broadcaster to set the record straight on his future on TV.
The former This Morning star has feared his TV career is over after he quit ITV as he admitted to having an affair with a younger colleague.
Phil has said he now has to talk about working in TV in the "past tense", but many believe the presenter could make a comeback one day soon.
An expert believes Phillip's future will include a stint on TalkTV but he will have to meet one condition first.
"TalkTV could be the career rebuilding platform that Schofield needs right now.
"If the current media spotlight reveals no new allegations then this is entirely recoverable for him and TalkTV could be the perfect place for him to start again in a high profile media environment," expert Andy Barr told the Daily Star.
Andy said Phillip should take time out from the spotlight to protect his mental health.
"I think the public will expect him to have a career break before announcing his comeback," he added.
However, Phil's lawyer has responded to the claims and predictions.
"Absolutely not as far as I know," he told the Mirror when asked if Phil is set to make a return to our screens on TalkTV.
TalkTV's most prominent news anchor is Piers Morgan, who has publicly sympathised with Phillip following his own abrupt exit from ITV's Good Morning Britain in 2021 after he accused Meghan Markle of lying in her Oprah Winfrey interview.
Piers, who has known Phillip for 35 years, says he looks "completely broken" following the news.
" Phillip Schofield is a broken guy, he’s not going to work on television again almost certainly. He’s lost everything in his life," he said.
"I don’t know what more the baying mob on Twitter wants from Phillip Schofield that he hasn’t already lost?”
He described Phil's initial downfall as "brutal to watch" before hitting out at the, "ruthless backstabbing in the world of daytime television."
"One minute Schofield was the undisputed king of morning TV and fast heading to bona fide national treasure status – the next he's a dethroned, shamed, vilified, national disgrace and social media laughing stock," Piers wrote.
Speaking in a tell-all interview with The Sun, the 61-year-old revealed that whilst he has no idea what the future holds for his career, he hopes one day he could return to a job in TV.
He then added: "I don’t know whether anyone would want my name linked to them.
"But that’s all gone. I have to come to terms with that."
Phil announced his exit from This Morning on May 20 and later went on to walk away from ITV completely, after admitting to a historic affair with a younger colleague.
In a statement shared less than a week on from his exit from the daytime TV show he hosted for two decades, Phil said: "In an effort to protect my ex-colleague, I haven’t been truthful about the relationship.
"But my recent, unrelated, departure from This Morning fuelled speculation and raised questions which have been impacting him, so for his sake it is important for me to be honest now.
"I am painfully conscious that I have lied to my employers at ITV, to my colleagues and friends, to my agents, to the media and therefore the public and most importantly of all to my family. I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife.
"I have therefore decided to step down from the British Soap Awards, my last public commitment, and am resigning from ITV with immediate effect expressing my immense gratitude to them for all the amazing opportunities that they have given me."
