Major League Baseball’s regular season is coming to an end, which means pitchers only have a few days left to try to throw the nastiest pitch of the year… and we’ve seen some pretty filthy pitches this year.
Phillies reliever Jose Alvarado quickly jumped to the top of that list Monday night in Houston when he threw a 101 mph sinker that had so much movement on it that fans could only joke about whether it was legal or not.
Here’s more proof that his has to be hardest time to get a hit in a professional baseball game because this was just silly:
