Phil Foden has told Todd Boehly why Chelsea must sign Marcus Rashford amid concerns over the striker's future at Old Trafford. The Manchester United star was heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer as he entered the final year of his contract.
As it stands, Rashford will be able to leave the Red Devils at the end of the season once his deal expires and, having impressed at the World Cup thus far, he's begun to court interest in his services - he can begin negotiations with foreign clubs over a free transfer from January 1st. According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Chelsea are eager to welcome the 24-year-old to Stamford Bridge should he become available.
The report states that the United 'are not scared' of Rashford's demands, with the England international said to be asking for around £10.5million per year. Despite the forward's increasingly uncertain future at the club, he's believed to hopeful of reaching an agreement over an extension.
