Phibsborough cafe voted best brunch spot by Dublin Live readers

Popular cafe Two Boys Brew has been voted the best brunch spot by our loyal Dublin Live readers.

We gave Dubs the chance to nominate Dublin's best brunch and the Phibsborough eatery came up top. So we popped into this stellar cafe to congratulate the winners (and see what the fuss was about).

On receiving the certificate, Taurean, co-owner with his business partner Kevin, told us: "We are a neighbourhood café that's just turned six. Both Kevin and myself lived away in Melbourne Australia for a couple of years and we got into the brunch café scene over there.

"We moved back to Dublin and wanted to bring a bit of that back with us with our own very spin on it. It was quite different initially as no one went out for breakfast. It was all Cornflakes, Weetabix and instant coffee and now it's like Australia where people are finally making a big deal about breakfast and brunch.

"Our menu is a mish mash of all our favourite things we have eaten over the years travelling. We have a huge following for avocado toast and people just absolutely love it We keep it seasonal and updated but true to what people want in an environment we both love.

Apart from a great menu, why has Two Boys Brew been such a success? A love for the local community of Phibsborough is at the heart of this much-loved business.

"Cafes are our passion and we are really lucky to have a great team and nice community around us, both locally and from areas where people have travelled. It's all about consistency keeping everything the same.

Taurean and Kevin have big plans to expand their business and told us they have a new café opening up next month in Drumcondra.

"It will be a different concept with the same standard in Phibsborough but with a more of a coffee shop feel to it."

The boys were delighted to be named Best Brunch by Dublin Live, saying: "We would like to thank Dublin Lives readers very much for the accolade of favourite brunch spot and we look forward to seeing you all again very soon."

The Two Boys Brew sells a lot of food products to take home including jams, hot sauce, granola, teas and honey. They open from 7.30am - 3-30pm Weds to Friday and 9am to 4pm Saturday and Sundays.
