PFF power rankings have Giants ‘stunk in limbo’

The 2022 NFL regular season is still a long way off and rosters will change greatly between now and September. However, that has not stopped pundits and analysts from releasing their offseason power rankings.

Such was the case last week when Pro Football Focus published their latest batch of rankings, which had the New York Giants near the bottom of the league.

26. NEW YORK GIANTS

The biggest additions the Giants made were at general manager and head coach, and Brian Daboll, in particular, could have a real impact on Daniel Jones at quarterback. Jones was a top-five graded quarterback in the league through the first month of the season in 2021 before the wheels fell off as the offense disintegrated around him. The Giants did what they could on the offensive line, and the receiving corps staying healthy would be a big boost for the team overall. The Giants offense could be a surprise unit in 2022.

The Giants fell into the “stuck in limbo” section.

Comparatively, the Washington Commanders checked in at No. 23 overall, while the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys took up spots No. 13 and No. 12, respectively.

The Buffalo Bills, where general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll migrated from, are ranked No. 1 overall. The Seattle Seahawks close things out with a No. 32 overall ranking.
