New Delhi: Public sector Power Finance Corporation (PFC) got a loan of 1.85 billion Japanese yen (about Rs 105 crore) from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
Power sector financier PFC said in a statement on Monday that a JPY 1.85 billion loan agreement with JBIC was signed on August 17, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The loan agreement was signed by PFC Chairperson and Managing Director Parminder Chopra and Governor Nobumitshu Hayashi at JBIC's office in New Delhi.
PFC will use the funds to finance KPC Gas Power Corporation's 11.5 MW waste-to-electricity project in Karnataka. Under this project, electricity will be generated from 600 tonnes of waste per day.
