The 2023 NBA Finals are scheduled to begin in June, hopefully with the Denver Nuggets competing for a title.
The Nuggets are set to face the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday evening. The winner of the Denver-L.A. series will advance to face the Eastern Conference champs (either the Miami Heat or Boston Celtics).
The NBA started a commercial series for the Finals two weeks ago and they recruited former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning for the marketing campaign. In their 15-second commercial, Peyton and Eli are on the phone discussing being ready to watch the series:
The 15-second segment with Peyton and Eli is part of a longer commercial featuring additional celebrities and athletes tuning in for the series.
Peyton and Eli both played basketball growing up in addition to football. They were stars on the gridiron and gave up basketball when they went to college to focus on football. They later both went on to win a pair of Super Bowls in the NFL.
The retired quarterbacks remain fans of the game, and there’s no doubt they’ll be tuning into the NBA Finals next month.
