The ManningCast joined the rest of the football world in not being able to process Dallas Cowboys kicker Brett Maher missing four-straight extra points.
After Maher missed a stunning three extra points in the first half of Dallas’ Wild Card playoff game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the kicker shanked yet another one in the game’s third quarter.
It’s Maher’s fifth-straight missed PAT since last week. The ManningCast was hosting Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell during the attempt, and the trio looked on in disbelief as Maher etched himself into the grand book of all-time playoff blunders.
It was just not Maher’s night.
Cowboys kicker Brett Maher misses again. That's 0-for-4 on extra point tries tonight. 😬😬😬😬

It takes a lot to get Peyton Manning that perplexed on live television, much less something that sends him into a moment where all he can do is fidget with a football.
Maher’s less-than-stellar performance will be remembered for a long time by NFL fans, and the ManningCast perfectly captured just how strange this whole sequence has been.
In fact, even football history won’t forget this Maher debacle anytime soon.
Brett Maher's four missed extra points are the most in any NFL game — regular season or postseason — since at least 1950, per @NFLResearch
