A petrol station was taped off after firefighters responded to a 'diesel spillage' this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the incident at Morrisons in Chadderton, Oldham, at about 1.50pm today (Tuesday).
Images showed a fire engine at the scene, with the forecourt taped off. Firefighters contained the leak and remained at the scene for about 30 minutes.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 1:50pm this afternoon (Tuesday 28 March) we received a report about a suspected diesel spillage on the forecourt of a petrol station on Hollinwood Avenue, Chadderton.
“The crew from Hollins fire station was quickly in attendance, and firefighters deployed specialist equipment to contain the leak and make the area safe. They were at the scene for around half an hour.”
