Petrol prices have soared in price in recent weeks across the UK as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues.
On Sunday the price of both petrol and diesel hit another new record high in the UK as demand for oil increases.
Previously, shortages sent fuel skyrocketing last year and now businesses are cutting off ties to Russian oil. This means that the current crisis could well get worse - and more expensive.
The average cost of petrol in the UK has now increased to 152.9p, with diesel prices also rising to 158.59p, according to the latest government data.

These figures have broken the previous record, which was set just last week - with the average cost of petrol at 149.22p and diesel at 153.36p.
And the RAC Foundation has warned petrol prices could rise to £1.60 a litre this week in the UK and £1.65 soon after, according to the BBC.
The hike comes as the ongoing invasion of Ukraine from Russian forces is continuing to have an impact on the global cost of oil and gas. Russia is the second largest producer of crude oil in the world and it provides a third of Europe’s total oil supplies, according to the Mirror.

This means it's worth looking around for the best prices when looking to fill up your car - supermarket forecourts usually offer the cheapest fuel prices. This is because of the market power supermarkets hold - the big names like Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons are all in competition with one another, so they keep fuel prices as low as possible hoping that when motorists come to fill their tank, they might do their weekly grocery shopping, too.
But how have the price increases affected the cost of petrol where you live? We checked the latest prices of unleaded as recorded on petrol station comparison website PetrolPrices.com.
It is worth noting that the website relies on users submitting prices, therefore the price recorded on the site for each station may slightly differ from the actual price depending on how recent the last submission for that station was.
Here are the cheapest and most expensive places to fill up with unleaded within five miles of your local area.
